Notice Text
Unauthorized access to UOSA property is strictly prohibited. Entry inside our security perimeter is trespassing, and violators are subject to arrest and prosecution.
UOSA has designated a limited portion of its Water Reclamation Plant property for public use. This includes the open grassy area along UOSA Parkway between Compton Road and our main gate. Please note:
- This area does not include the adjoining wooded areas.
- This area does not include any space inside UOSA’s security fences, which remain off-limits at all times.
To balance community access with safety, UOSA has established regulations governing recreational use of this area. These regulations, along with a map, are available at the links on this page. Please review them before visiting.
Fishing Access
- Fishing is permitted only from the shoreline of the designated public area at the Final Effluent Reservoir.
- UOSA stocks and maintains this fishery as a community service.
- A valid Virginia Fishing License is required.
Public Recreation Events
UOSA also allows limited use of the public area for organized recreation activities. To host such an activity, you must first submit a Public Recreation Event Request Form at least two weeks prior to the event taking place. Approval is required in advance, and events must comply with all posted regulations. For any questions about events, please contact bebe.schaefer@uosa.org.
Important Reminder
UOSA is not a public park. Public access is allowed only on a limited basis and is subject to safety and security considerations. UOSA reserves the right to close these areas or restrict access at any time to protect the community, our employees, and our facilities.
By following the regulations and respecting the boundaries, you help ensure that this community benefit remains safe and accessible for all.
